Aging in Place Grant Program
Funded by the PNC Foundation and Village Friends and administered by Impact Corry in partnership with Village Friends, the Aging in Place Grant Program is a 1:1 matching grant program that makes funds available to improve the safety and accessibility of residential homes for applicants age 60 and older. Homeowners may receive up to $1,000 for minor home modifications that are in alignment with AARP’s HomeFit Guide.
The program is a reimbursement grant program. Projects must be completed with project costs paid before funds are issued to grantees.
Eligible uses of funds include, but are not limited to, the following home modifications:
Lever-style door handles and faucets
Comfort-height toilets / toilet seat riser
Adjustable-height, handheld shower head
C- or D-shaped handles and drawer pulls
Grab bars / handrails
Hardwired task and wall / ceiling lighting
Nonslip surface / safe covering for stairs

Eligibility Requirements:
Eligible applicants arehomeowners aged 60 or older residing in the footprint of the Corry Area School District with a total household income of $67,000 or less.

The property to which the modifications will be made must be the applicant’s primary residence.
Grant funds may not be used to pay for work that is currently in progress or has already been completed.
Approved projects are required to meet all applicable codes, permitting processes, and ordinances of the City of Corry.
Grant payouts will be made on a reimbursement basis. Approved applicants will receive grant funds after completion of the project and after Impact Corry’s receipt of project “after” photographs, and copies of paid invoices and receipts.
All projects awarded funding must be completed by January 31, 2027.
Application Deadline:
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, with applications being reviewed and approved in the order that they are received. Once all program funding has been awarded, the application will close.
